Maryland Art Place Gallery at The Ritz-Carlton Residences
RXR Realty LLC, developer of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, recently partnered with Maryland Art Place (MAP) to pay tribute to Grace Hartigan, a celebrated abstract expressionist painter and long-time Baltimore resident. Ms. Hartigan was director of the Hoffberger School of Painting at the Maryland Institute of Art (MICA) from its inception in 1965 until her death in 2008.
The developer of The Residences opened a gallery to showcase five exceptional paintings that Ms. Hartigan bequeathed to MAP in 2009. Viewing of the exhibition is by invitation or appointment only.
In addition to the Hartigan exhibition, the Gallery features Athena’s Daughters 2010, a display of recent work by contemporary women artists who studied with Ms. Hartigan at MICA.
To make an appointment to see this outstanding artwork, please call MAP at 410-962-8565.
